UNICEF Charity Run 2009 – Press Conference

Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF announced that UNCIEF Charity Run 2009 will be held on November 29th and publicized the event details at the press conference on August 5th. The event is supported by the Ambassadors of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, Huang Xiao Ming, Vic Chou and Eric Suen as well as top runners, Lai Hok Yan and Chan Kit Yee.

All funds raised this year will contribute to Sichuan rebuilding programme and will assist earthquake-affected children to resume their normal life. “We hope we can break last year’s record of more than 5,000 runners and raise more funds for the rebuilding work of Sichuan!” said Mr. Louis Loong, Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF.

The Ambassadors of Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, Huang Xiao Ming, Vic Chou and Eric Suen and our honourable guests presented certificates of appreciation to sponsors and supporting organizations at the press conference. We thanked them for their support to UNICEF Charity Run 2009.

UNICEF has once again appointed top runners - Lai Hok Yan, Chan Kit Yee, Tania Mak and Andy Naylor to be our Charity Run Ambassadors. They shared running tips with the public and encouraged everyone to participate in the event with their friends and families.

UNICEF Charity Run 2009 - Now open for Enrollment!!

UNICEF Charity Run 2009 will be held at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
and Sunny Bay and is now open for enrollment. Join us now and see you on
29 November 2009.

UNICEF Charity Run is going to be held again this year at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Sunny Bay and is now open for enrollment. This event raised over HK$13 million since 2006 in supporting UNICEF’s projects against HIV/AIDS and in Sichuan earthquake rebuild. This year, all funds raised will continue contributing to our long-term recovery work of Sichuan earthquake.

In 2009, on top of the Half Marathon and 10km Run, we are going to have a new 3km Fun Run, which aims to encourage children and families’ participation in this charity run as well. We sincerely invite you to take part this year, and encourage your fellows joining us.
