Confirmed Covid cases in Hong Kong surged to a record high during the fifth wave of the pandemic. UNICEF HK was concerned about children and adolescents suffering from the prolonged lockdown and swiftly launched ‘for every child, care & relief’ community support campaign. The campaign provided anti-epidemic emergency support including learning materials, rapid antigen self-testing kits, and food and sanitization supplies to underprivileged families with children and/or pregnant women as well as raised public awareness of children's mental health. UNICEF HK also believed that education should never stop, and encouraged students to make meaningful use of their time.
