Senior Manager/Manager, Communications & Media Relations
Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF was founded in 1986 and was established as an independent non-government organization to support UNICEF’s mission.
This Senior Manager, Communications and Media Relations role will lead and execute effective communications and marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and media engagement. This position requires a strong team player with a solid background in various PR & marketing disciplines, exceptional bilingual communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive impactful campaigns in HK community to facilitate works of UNICEF worldwide.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise the communications team to implement effective corporate communications strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, manage media inquiries and develop strategies to secure positive media coverage.
- Manage and mentor team members in executing corporate communication tasks, including project and people management, collaboration with external partners, and compliance with communication and marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and community engagement in support of fundraising and advocacy programmes.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including governance bodies, supporters, vendors, volunteers, media, and partners, to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and support for branding and publicity initiatives.
- Identify partnership opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of brand management.
Requirements
- Expertise in developing communication strategies, media management and public relations.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with experience in creating impactful press releases, media kits and compelling storytelling.
- Experience in team leadership, managing diverse teams and strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Proficiency in social media strategy, content creation and digital communication platforms.
- Excellent crisis management and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners and media outlets.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese languages is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or marketing, and with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered for the Manager position.

Officer, Donor Service Management
Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF was founded in 1986 and was established as an independent non-government organization to support UNICEF’s mission.
We are now seeking an Officer in Donor Service Management to support UNICEF Hong Kong fund-raising programmes.
Role and Responsibilities

Call-centre duties – handling inbound and outbound calls and emails. Duties included but not limited to
-
Respond to and follow up donor queries in a timely and good customer service manner
-
Conduct inbound Churn Save communication for donors request to cancel
-
Conduct outbound Debit Fail follow up, bounced mailing follow up calls
-
Conduct outbound telephone fundraising campaigns as required
-

Donor service duties – handle donor queries from walk-in, mail, social media etc.

Data housekeeping – accurate entry and file donor information in the CRM database
-
Other clerical support such as issuing receipts and filing etc.
Requirements
-
Form 5 or above, passed in HKCEE/DSE English and Chinese
-
2 years of experience with customer services, call-centre
-
Experience with charity and donor services is an advantage
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-oriented
-
Attention to detail, high accuracy and result-oriented
-
Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English
-
Good computer literacy, data entry skills, Chinese words input
-
Familiar with MS office software including Outlook, Excel and Word
-
Team player with a flexible and positive attitude
