Montblanc “Signature For Good” 2013 expected to bring US$1.5 million to help UNICEF’s education programme

Ms. Judy Chen, Chairman of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) and Miss Karen Mok, UNICEF HK Ambassador presented a token of appreciation to Mr. James Siano, President & CEO of Montblanc in Asia Pacific region for the support towards UNICEF’s education work.


Miss Karen Mok, UNICEF HK Ambassador attended the ceremony which showcased her previous visits to UNICEF projects in China through a photo exhibit.

Montblanc has been a supporter of UNICEF since 2004, and helped raised over US$5 million to UNICEF’s education and literacy programmes for children. This year, Montblanc will continue its support to UNICEF through the "Signature for Good" . Parts of the proceeds raised from the sale of the new “Signature for Good” Collection through their own stores and retailers will go towards vulnerable children supported by the School for Africa and School for Asia initiatives, as well as UNICEF education programmes in Latin America. It is expected to ing HK$11.6 million (US$1.5 million) and help children explore their full potential by education.

Montblanc’s Global fundraising campaign enabled UNICEF to provide access and improve the quality of primary 2,250,000 girls and boys in a total of 3,000 primary schools through the integration of rights-based, effective, healthy, inclusive, safe, protective quality learning environment. Also, it increases educational access to and completion of quality basic education of 375,000 out-of-school children especially, orphaned and other vulnerable children. The support of dedicated partners such as Montblanc is essential to achieving universal completion of primary education by or before 2015, as envisaged in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
