‘for every child, we listen’ TV Programme
2022-10-20
Hong Kong / 20 October 2022 – Further to the well-received ‘for every child, we listen’ children’s radio programme aired between April and October this year, Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) also co-produce a brand new ‘for every child, we listen’ TV programme (in Cantonese) that leads us into the world of children.
Starting 19 October 2022, 8 episodes of ‘for every child, we listen’ TV programme will be aired at 5:50pm every Wednesday on RTHK TV 31. More than 10 junior hosts aged 8 to 17 will explore and share their views on various topics related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and children’s rights. Government officials and stakeholders from different sectors are invited to interact with junior hosts or respond to their questions. This TV programme not only allows our junior hosts to understand different facets of our society and the world, but also empowers children to speak up, be heard and be encouraged to pursue their dreams.
UNICEF HK strives to build a participation platform for children and adolescents to voice out their opinions through ‘for every child, we listen’ children’s radio and TV programmes. We also call for public attention toward education and growth of our next generation, and to accomplish the vision of ‘Reimagine Education’ through realizing the right to education for every child.
