In loving memory of Davie Auyeung Tsan Pong

2015-03-25

HONG KONG, 25 March 2014—It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of our Honorary Council Member, Davie Auyeung Tsan Pong, on 16th March 2014.
Davie joined the Council of the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF in Feuary 1989 and served on our Council until 2012 when he became an Honorary Council Member. As the Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee for more than 21 years, he was one of our longest-serving Council Members since the Committee’s inception in 1986.
Davie devoted countless hours in supporting the Hong Kong Committee in its steady and substantial growth over the many years he served. He generously and voluntarily provided his professional knowledge and expertise in the financial management of our organisation and helped ensure the most effective use of funds raised for advancing child rights and supporting UNICEF projects to help improve the well-being of children worldwide.
Davie’s dedication, diligence, perseverance and commitment to the development of UNICEF HK, as well as his love and care for vulnerable children, will continue to inspire us all as we carry on his passion to champion better lives for children around the world. We are eternally grateful for Davie’s leadership, contribution and support.
We will all miss him dearly and extend our deepest condolences to Mrs Auyeung and Davie’s family members.
